Porzia’s website lacks the functionality and access to information that are standard for most restaurant websites.

Solution

The redesigned website for Porzia’s will showcase Porzia’s in-dining experience and ensure customers have easy access to all essential information.

Goal

The goal is to elevate the website to modern digital standards, ensuring it functions seamlessly as a restaurant’s online presence. The redesign will showcase the restaurant's ambiance, menu offerings, and overall experience, making it easy for visitors to explore the restaurant and find answers to all their questions.

Main Focus: Menu

The food and beverage is what drives customers to restaurants. They need to be aware of current offerings before deciding Porzia's is the restaurant they want to commute to for their evening plans.

The menu changes so frequently, it is in everyones best interest that it is communicated and kept up to date.

Main Focus: Reservations

For the past year, Porzia's was known as walk in only restaurant. That has recently changed. The link to reserve a table should be made available on the website as well as social media. There should be a permanent page or post that customer can refer to take the step to reserve.

Main Focus: FAQ

Porzia's is fairly new as well as far to travel to. Customers often call looking for answers. It is Porzia's duty to provide customers with answered to these frequently asked questions. If the information is readily available, there may be less phone calls during service.

Additions: Bottle Shop

Porzia's is a dine in restaurant with a heavily curated wine. As soon as guests enter they come across bottles of biodynamic, International, hard to find bottles of wine.

Customers are more than welcome to glance through, as well as purchase them at Porzia's.

Additions: Contact Page

Establishing a contact page, enables customers to connect with the restaurant staff with ease. There is no need to look for an email or phone number, if this page is established

Additions: Home Page

Porzia's current website has two pages, the home page and the order page.

The home page gives an overview of the restaurant operations, including announcements, menu, contact details, etc. However, the current layout, allows for information to be looked over, with lack of structure put into anything that is being communicated.

Porzia’s is a popular Italian restaurant in Toronto with a growing reputation, but its website lacks the expected functionality.

To guide the redesign, I researched industry best practices and analyzed local competitors like Sugo, La Palma, and Sunny’s. This helped me identify key UX patterns, market gaps, and design elements that create meaningful customer experiences.

My goal was to craft a site that not only reflects Porzia’s evolving brand but also offers real value to its users—blending functionality, personality, and ease of use.
